Blogs about the Côte d’Azur and Provence

Le Petit France Blog

Chez LouLou – an expat in love with french cheeses, LouLou shares the joys, and cuisine, of life in the Languedoc-Roussillon region (west of Provence but still in the south).

Sara in Le Petit Village

Tartelette - you don’t even have to be there to experience the splendor and details of the South of France so long as you visit Helen’s blog! I feel relaxed just looking at her rich, colorful photography that has the ability to transport you directly to Provence.

Blogs about Paris

Lost in Cheeseland – I love how Lindsey writes! She obviously loves being an expat in Paris but sets out to write about the things the average expat doesn’t – also a fellow Philadelphian (although I wouldn’t say I’m exactly from Philly), but I think she’s forgotten all about cheese steaks and moved on to better dishes in life.

Je ne sais quoi blog - love her blog, but reader beware. This is not the Paris with happy little kids whistling with their lolly pop and balloon in hand while skipping down the tree-lined paths of Palais Royale. This is the undercover Paris, the Paris people never want to admit. There Paris where s*it ends up on the bottom of your shoes.

Love in the City of Lights

Paris (im)perfect – Another blogger who understands that Paris is not perfect and yet so lovable anyways. How she managed to stay in Paris though moving there on a romantic whim is beyond me, but I really admire her for it!

Hip Paris – There really are no words; Hip Paris is just wonderful in every way. Includes beautiful interior design of haute-Paris apartments, events, food and travel tips from multiple writers each with a different take on the wonderful city.

Secrets of Paris – an established writer, blogger and savvy international business woman in the travel industry, Heather is a great source for the aspiring expat and francophile who makes her living as a Paris tour guide. She was recently naturalized and I have to admit, I’m a bit jealous.

Bliss in the City

Mademoiselle à Paris

Amateur d’art – a wonderful blog written by an intelligent and captivating intellectual. Read it to develop your french vocabulary in art and art theory, or read it to challenge the way you look at art. I love it for both these reasons.

French at Heart ♥

Fleurishing – Susan has an amazing eye for simplicity. Instead of using quotations to re-emphasize what she’s said, she uses quotations together with photography to transport you to another, dreamy world. I love her short and oh, so sweet approach to blogging.

Little Brown Pen – No one blogs like Nichole does. While not living in France at this time, Nichole understands what it is to have your heart stolen by the City of Light and she demonstrates it beautifully in her arrangement of photography.

Franco-American Dream

La Tartine Gourmande – if I were to tell you only one thing Béa does well – it would be living life as a French expat in the US. She has amazing charm and her french flair shines through all she does.

Travel

My Melange – not quite sure where Robin is as an expat (either France or Italy), but her blog is not one you want to miss. She is always coming up with great travel tips and sites that are a must.

My Friends and their Blogs

Mouthwash – Amber knows the in’s and out’s to fashion – a little frenchie herself, you don’t want to miss her take on the fashion scene of Northern California.

Cover to Cover – Jess reads a lot and somehow manages not to be a bookworm. This is her book review blog and she is also a social media guru and PR pro.

Am I missing an amazing blog that belongs on this list? Send me the URL and I’ll be sure to check it out!
