Sometimes we think we are so big, so important, and our life so complex. Sometimes we lose sight of the beautiful reality of our little existence, we forget things have a tendency to fall perfectly into place, that ultimately it’s the journey that matters more than the destination.
Terje Sorgjerd (also the creator of The Aurora) captures the beauty of the world that we are previledged to be a part of. The vast Milky Way is captured passing over the El Teide Mountains in Spain, a perfect memoire to one’s favorite travel destination. I love the artist’s respect for nature, for time and for his medium. My favorite segment begins at 0:45 – for a bit I thought it was the rhythm of the sea.
It’s Saturday, my belle readers. In my family, Saturday is traditionally used as a day to reconnect with each other and the natural world around us. We shut the computers off, ignore our cell phones, forget about blogs and television, we let go of looming deadlines and overwhelming to-do lists. We go for bike rides in the woods, a swim in the ocean, we roll out a blanket on lush green grass to watch the clouds. We simply take the time to enjoy the passing day.
How will you enjoy this beautiful Saturday?

That is so beautiful. It is a much cherished dream of mine to see the Northern Lights. Have you ever seen them yourself?
No, but it’s a dream for me as well – and I think it’s a great honeymoon idea although it’d be so cold!
I am enjoying this at the moment…lovely!
Stéphanie, the last paragraph you wrote could not express better to me what the French way of life is about. Just a detail: that special day is Sunday in France as you know it. I hope it stays that way…
That special day can be any day a person, couple or family desire!
Wow, what an incredible video, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Andi
This is so beautiful! I can’t really think of any other word to describe it
Hope you had a great weekend
Glad you enjoyed it Kat!
