Yes, my belle readers! I have arrived! I am finally based out of Paris and will be here, sharing the highs and lows of my adventures, for the next year to come and then some!

This last week was filled with trips to BHV, the markets and exploring my environs. I’m almost finished unpacking, transforming my small apartment into a charming home decorated with finds from all over France (more on this later!).
Today was the first day I really escaped my neighborhood. It was so pleasant walking along the Seine as sunbathers enjoyed the last day of Paris Plage. Hot and thirsty, I couldn’t resist ordering a scoop of melting chocolate ice cream from an old man who smiled and laughed gleefully as he handed me the cone. Oh, Paris! How cute was he?
Bare with me as I finish settling in! I have a bit more to take care of before my life here sorts itself out but I should be back to blogging regularly again soon!

Love these photos! I can’t wait to hear all about Paris.
Welcome back! I love the new look too!!!
Thanks Tanya!
Everything will be fine, you’ll get to be in Paris in autumn, it’s beautiful!
Thanks Lindsey! It’s tough when rational-self is not in sync with emotional-self… sooner or later it’ll all be in rhythm again and I’ll be back on cloud 9. Until then, I’ll just take the tears as they come and hang on for that sunny tomorrow. Autumn in Paris should be lovely
and I’m really looking forward to developing meaningful friendships with other expats and Frenchies. Thanks for your kind words, Lindsey!
Gorgeous pictures! Can’t wait to read more
Thanks Kat! Looking forward to sharing more photos too!
”bare with me”? I did not know Paris-plage was a nudist beach
Enough with silly jokes and I am glad you made it safe. You sound quite excited. The photos came out really nice. Soon with the rentrée and back-to-school days, Paris will bursting with energy again! Bienvenue à Paris et bon retour en France!
Hey, she was wearing nail polish! And rentrée has already begun! Didn’t quite make it soon enough to avoid the crowds!

Thanks Susan! Looking forward to your visit!
So excited for you. It seems you are living out my dreams! I always wanted to move to France but alas I know my fate is simply to visit. Who knows, maybe when I am a published writer I will be able to afford a frequent flight to Europe?
