Cats of Provence 2

I can’t help it! I love cats (all animals, really but especially cats) and enjoy snapping a few pics when they are being their most adorable selves. This won’t be the last time I share some of my favorite images of French Kitties… so please enjoy!

One fine day, I was walking up the narrow alley leading to my home in Provence when heard the irrefutable meow of a hungry cat whose keeper must have been late to this cat’s precise dinner hour. Being the Cat Charmer I am, I coaxed her over to me, gave her a few reassuring strokes along her fluffy coat, and started back up the street. But in the cat’s mind, I was her new meal-ticket and she continued following me until I reached my front entrance. As I opened the heavy, wooden door, she marched right into my kitchen demanding her homemade gourmet dinner. As for me, I was just happy to have a kitty in my home again, even if only an ungracious guest.

I saw the same beautiful cat a few days later. She looked so regal and content basking in the sun with clearly no need in the world, as she ignored my every attempt to capture her attention. In her opulance, I snapped the last image of this post, by far one of my favorite ever.

Wonderful post. Great pics of the Provence cats. Like you, I love that last one of the feline queen. My black kitty Felix is waiting for us at home in Seattle as we travel through France and Europe for a few weeks. I miss him. Thank you for making me smile. Veronique aka French Girl in Seattle.

I missed my cat, Maiden so much while living in Provence. Now that I knew I’ll be in France for a couple more years, I’m trying to find an apartment that would be a good fit for her too. It’s hard leaving our Feline Friends! I’m glad they made you smile :)

I’m not sure when you changed the look of your blog (haven’t had internet for about a month!) but it looks amazing! Love it. And absolutely loved this post.

Thanks Christine! The new look is still fairly new – completed it just before my Blogoversary. :) Glad to have you back!
