A year ago today I posted the beginning of my journey with laBelleinFrance.com as I prepared for my long-awaited return to France. In life we embark on so many adventures, often more blindly than we have the courage to admit even to ourselves. It was my dream that my one year opportunity in Provence would not be my last chance to live in France and at the time the possibility seemed out of my grasp. Today, I’m exactly where I was last year, worried about paperwork and visa appointments and yet I’ve come so much farther, far enough to have reached a dream.
I’m looking forward to continuing my dedication to my blog in the year to come. And who knows where we’ll find ourselves then.

As for evolving dreams, I was reading a book and came across this dialogue —
“I’ve been dreaming of this moment for 18 years.
What if it’s not what I thought it would be?”
“It will be.”
“And what if it is? What do I do then?”
“Well, that’s the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream.”
I can so relate to it! So here I am, trying to think up new dreams while I enjoy that others are coming true. Life is beautiful, isn’t it?

Thanks Loulou – yes, I’m in the US for now and have plans to return to France mid-August. The paperwork is always the worst of it! Well, that and lugging my valises everywhere
